Scary Movie 6, is an upcoming American parody film directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Álvarez. It is the sixth installment in the “Scary Movie” franchise, a follow-up to “Scary Movie 5” (2013), and a spiritual sequel to the first two films. [2] It stars Marlon, Shawn, and other returning cast members, including Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munro, Jon Abrahams, and Anthony Anderson. The plot follows Cindy Campbell and her friends Ray Wilkins and the siblings Shorty and Brenda Meeks, who reunite when the same masked killer from the first film reappears.
Synopsis
Twenty-six years after their first encounter with a masked killer, the remaining members of the original group—Shorty Meeks (Marlon Wayans), Ray Wilkins (Shawn Wayans), Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris), and Brenda Meeks (Regina Hall)—find themselves in mortal danger once again. The killer, also known as Ghostface, seems to have set his sights on them once again and is picking up where he left off. Shorty, Ray, Cindy, and Brenda reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh new faces to mercilessly skewering reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, high-concept horror, origin stories, anything with the word “legacy” in the title, and every “final chapter” that, of course, isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No cliché survives. All lines are crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel cancel culture.
