It’s been about twenty years since Andrea “Andy” Sachs (Anne Hathaway) and Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) endured the diabolical temperament of Miranda Priestley (Meryl Streep), the editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine, while working as her assistants. Since then, however, the two women have followed very different career paths; Emily, in fact, has achieved great success as the head of a luxury brand, whose advertising campaigns boast an astronomical budget. Miranda Priestley, on the other hand, can only dream of such a budget these days. The days of economic prosperity are over for her, as, in the Internet age, her classic print magazine “Runway” is selling worse and worse. But, as it happens, the paths of Miranda, Andy, and Emily cross again after all this time, and creative director Nigel (Stanley Tucci) can’t be left out either when the New York fashion circus gets back into gear.
