Hoppers (2026)

For Mabel Tanaka, nature is inextricably linked to her loved ones. She has a special fondness for a forest clearing where her grandmother used to take her. There, she can still find peace and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. But this treasure, far from the city of Beaverton, will soon cease to exist. Mayor Jerry Generazzo (Jon Hamm) is in the midst of an election campaign and wants to secure re-election with a megaproject: the construction of a highway. It will cut through the forest and destroy the clearing that Mabel loves so much. To thwart his plans, Mabel devises a daring plan. Her college professor, Dr. Sam (Kathy Najimy), has developed a technique that allows a person’s consciousness to be transferred to robotic animals. Mabel transfers her consciousness into a beaver and ventures into the forest to form alliances with the other animals against the construction of the highway.
