The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, is an upcoming animated comedy-adventure film based on the 2007 video game *Super Mario Galaxy* and its 2010 sequel, as well as Nintendo’s broader Mario franchise. A sequel to *The Super Mario Bros. Movie* (2023), it was directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and written by Matthew Fogel. Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, and Kevin Michael Richardson are reprising their roles, and Benny Safdie, Brie Larson, Donald Glover, Luis Guzmán, and Issa Rae are joining the cast. It is being produced by Illumination and Nintendo. In the film, Mario, Luigi, and their new friend, Yoshi, join Princess Peach and Toad on an adventure in outer space, where they meet Princess Rosalina and face off against Bowser and his son, Bowser Jr.
Synopsis
Sequel to the 2023 film “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” This time, Mario (voiced by Chris Pratt) and Luigi (Charlie Day) face off against Bowser Jr. (Benny Safdie), who wants to free his father (Jack Black) and restore his former power. To stop him, the plumber duo must embark on an intergalactic journey, accompanied by Princesses Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy) and Rosalina (Brie Larson).
